Overview
F1X is a fantasy Formula 1 league. Build a portfolio of F1 drivers and constructors, score fantasy points each race weekend based on real-world results, and compete to be champion across 24 races.
The Auction
Before the season begins, all 22 drivers and 11 constructors are available in a silent auction. Each asset has a minimum bid. You can bid on as many assets as you want and order your bids by preference (priority #1, #2, #3, etc.).
How Bids Are Resolved
Round 1: Every owner's #1 priority bid is considered. For each asset, the highest bid wins (if that owner can afford it). Winners are charged and the asset is assigned.
Round 2: Every owner's #2 priority bid is considered. Assets already sold are skipped. Highest affordable bid wins.
Round 3, 4, 5...: Continue until all priority levels are exhausted.
This means your most-wanted assets are resolved before your budget is spent on lower-priority picks. If you're outbid on your #1, your full budget is still available for #2.
What if I can't afford a bid?
If your remaining balance is less than your bid amount when it's processed, that bid is automatically skipped — the next-highest bidder wins instead. You're never forced into debt from the auction.
Ties
If two owners bid the exact same amount, the first bid placed wins.
Post-Auction Balance Doubling
After the auction resolves, every owner's remaining balance is doubled. This rewards budget discipline — don't spend everything on one big asset!
💡 Strategy Tip: If you spend 80M in the auction, you'll have 40M going forward (20M × 2). But if you spend 60M, you'll have 80M (40M × 2). That extra cash can fund PU deployments, upgrades, and high-value rentals throughout the season.
2026 Asset Pricing
Constructor minimum bids equal the combined min bids of their two drivers.

Rentals
After the auction, owners can rent out their assets to other players at a weekly price. Renting lets you score points from assets you don't own.
Initial rental price: After winning an auction, the owner sets a rental price between 5–25% of their winning bid.
Weekly adjustments: Each week, owners can raise or lower their rental price by up to ±25% of the current price. Floor: 5% of purchase price.
Unowned assets: Drivers/constructors that go unsold can be rented by anyone at 15% of min bid per week. This payment goes into the League Dividend pool.
League Dividend: All unowned rental fees are pooled and split equally among every owner each week.
Starting a rental: Costs the weekly rental price + a 1.0M contract fee.
Cancelling a rental: Free — cancel anytime with no penalty.
Weekly charges: Active rentals are charged automatically each race weekend.
Team Limits
Max drivers per owner: 5 (owned + rented combined)
Max constructors per owner: 2 (owned + rented combined)

Sprint Weekends
Six rounds feature sprint races (China, Miami, Canada, Great Britain, Netherlands, Singapore). Sprint qualifying and sprint race points are calculated the same way but at half value (0.5×).
Constructor Scoring
Constructor score = sum of both drivers' total points, plus bonuses:
| Bonus | Points |
|---|---|
| Both drivers in Q3 | +2 |
| Both drivers finish P1–P10 | +2 |
| Both drivers in Sprint Q3 | +1 |
| Both drivers in Sprint P1–P10 | +1 |
Power Units (PU)
Cost: 4.0M per deployment
Effect: 3× driver score the weekend deployed, 2× the following weekend
Limits: 1 active PU per driver at a time, max 5 PUs per season
Tip: Deploy PUs on drivers you expect to score big — a well-timed PU on a race winner can swing the standings!
Constructor Upgrades
Cost: 8.0M per upgrade
Effect: 2× constructor score for 3 consecutive weekends
Limits: 1 active upgrade per constructor at a time, max 2 per season
Championship Points
After each race weekend, owners are ranked by total fantasy points earned that weekend. Championship points are then awarded:
| Position | Champ Pts |
|---|---|
| 1st | 25 |
| 2nd | 18 |
| 3rd | 15 |
| 4th | 12 |
| 5th | 10 |
| 6th–10th | 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 |
If owners tie on fantasy points, championship points for their positions are averaged equally. The owner with the most championship points across all 24 rounds wins the season!
Financial Rules
Race income: Asset owners earn 10% of their asset's official F1 points each weekend. Driver owners earn from driver points; constructor owners earn from the team's combined driver points.
DNF penalty: Owner loses 1.0M per Grand Prix DNF, 0.5M per Sprint DNF.
Negative balance: If your balance goes negative, your fantasy score is penalized by 10% per consecutive negative week (max 50%).
Marketplace
Owners can list assets for sale on the marketplace. Other owners can bid on listed assets. Sales are resolved in the same priority-based system as the auction.
Deadlines & Locks
F1X uses a three-tier lock system each race week:
📋 Monday Night ET — Marketplace Resolves: Marketplace bids are automatically resolved every Monday night. Place your bids before then!
💰 Monday Night ET (race week) — Rates Lock: Rental price changes freeze Monday night before a race weekend. You can still place bids, start/cancel rentals, and deploy PUs.
🔒 Qualifying — Teams Lock: When qualifying begins, ALL player actions freeze — no bids, rentals, PUs, upgrades, or marketplace changes until the race is processed.
🟢 Post-race: Market fully reopens after the race weekend is processed.
Season Flow
1. Pre-season: Owners sign up, place auction bids, order by preference.
2. Auction resolves: Automatically at the auction deadline. Assets distributed. Remaining balances doubled.
3. Set rental prices: After winning assets, set your rental prices (5–25% of purchase price).
4. Weekly cycle: Place marketplace bids, adjust rentals, deploy PUs. Marketplace resolves automatically every Monday night.
5. Race week: Rates lock Monday night → Teams lock at qualifying → Race processed → Market reopens.
6. End of season: 24 rounds. Most championship points wins!

Manual Entry
Replace a driver mid-season. The owner keeps the seat — asset, contracts, and rentals transfer to the new driver.
Set a temporary password for an owner. They will be prompted to change it on next login.
Fix rental contracts after ownership changes. Transfers unowned contracts to new owners, cancels contracts where the renter now owns the asset.
Completely reset to a fresh Season 1. All owners, bids, contracts, results erased. Admin account preserved.
